a happy life is made of....

Ok, I had a hell of a time getting the ladybug to stamp the way I wanted it to, I think I went through a whole sheet of card stock for one card. I hate that, such a waste. Then I realized that It was not even white paper once I started putting the card all together, what an idiot I am.
I wanted to do something with this DP and I thought it would work with this stamp set.

Recipe:
Stamps: Little Lady by Papertrey Ink
Paper: Ruby Red - SU, Shimmery Black, Very Vanilla - SU, Fleur Noir by Imaginisce
Ink: Palette in Black, Ruby Red
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Nesties, dazzling diamonds - SU

Simply Celebrating

These are 2 very very quick 3x3 cards. I loved the stamp I used in the background. I didn't know which one I would like better the silver or the black, so I made one of each.

I ran the card stock through my cuttlebug with nestibilities to do then embossed square, then stamped with versa mark, heat embossed powered, stamped the celebrate in silver and punch it out with the small oval punch, used dimensionals, then tied a ribbon....done.

Recipe:
Stamps: celebrate sentiment is from Micheals $1.50 bin, K&Company clear stamps
Cardstock: shimmery white - SU
Ink: Versamark, colorbox - silver

Pretty dreaming in Pink!!!

I had an idea in my head that I think may have worked. I really wanted to do a window card with my nesties, and this is what I cam up with. I started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base in chocolate chip card stock and then added a vellum layer over the whole card. I really looks better in person....sometime the camera doesn't do a card justice. I always ask my DH to look at my cards and he didn't really like this one, say the ribbon is too big. What do you all think????

Recipe:
Stamps: Sweet Dreams
Paper: Chocolate chip - SU, Pretty in Pink - SU, vellum
Ink: Tim holtz distress ink in walnut stain, pink passion - SU
Accessories: Cuttlebug, nesties, markers to color the stamp then I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten the image, ribbon, bling

On this one, I took a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base, stamped with versa mark and then heat embossed white powder, did a couple of punch outs, tried a ribbon......finished.

Cardstock: shimmery black, black tie optional DP by imangicse
Ink: Palette in Black
Accessories, large oval punch - SU, tag punch - SU, ribbon, embossing powder and heat gun

Susan Mac Donald said...
The invitation is extremely elegant! I, too, would like a copy of this font. I think it's THEEEEEfont for weddings. GREAT job!

Thanks

This is the first time that I have done one of Beate's Be Inspired Challenge, I guess I was inspired!!! I made this card for the happy couple that I made Wedding invitations for in Black and White, I used the same paper on this card as I did on their invitations. I think they will really like it.

I made 3 cards with almost the same lay out.....I will post the other ones later!!

Bitty Birthday 3x3 trio

Ok, I am really enjoying this little set. Can't believe I didn't notice it before in the catalog??? Sure Stampin up is going to discontinue it now. I can see myself doing lots with this set.

On the card with the balloons, what I did was stamp and colored my image, then took my paper piercing tool and poked holes in the bottom of the balloons, then ran the string ribbon from the front of the image to the back and taped it down, then once I put the image on my card base I then trimmed the ribbon to length

Recipe:
Stamps: Bitty Birthday
Cardstock: Whisper white - SU, barely banana - SU, background paper is by Martha Stewart
Ink: Palette in Black, Bashful blue for the sentiment
Accessories: Cuttlebug, nesties, small oval punch - SU, bling and string ribbon, ticket corner punch - SU, mat pack - SU, prismacolor pencils, baby oil blending stump

Wedding Invitations

Here is another set of Wedding invitations that I delivered to the Happy Bride this week. Nicole is a lady that I work with, and she was getting down to the wire with finding someone to do their invitations. I don't really like mixing my day job with another "paying" job, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to get another set of invites under my belt. I would really like to continue doing the invitations on a part time basis.
These ones were really easy to do. The invitations and reply cards are just flat cards and the Thank-you is a regular 4 1/2 x 5 1/2. 5x7 for the invitation (top picture), 41/4 x 5 1/2 for the reply card and Thank-you card.
I printed everything on my laser jet printer and it all worked out perfectly. The envelopes match the Bronze. They are very clean and elegant.

If you have any questions regarding this invitations, I would be happy to help you out, please remember, if you leave a comment with a question, please leave your e-mail address.

Recipe
Cardstock: Mellow Moss - SU, Shimmery Ivory in text weight stock, shimmery bronze in cover weight.
Accessories: Mellow Moss Ribbon - SU

No one in the World......

This is the card that I sent to Beate.
Here is my first My Favorite Things card. I used the masking technique on this card as well. Here is a tip: if you think you are going to be masking a lot with a stamp set, keep the scrap piece that you are using to block out the good image, then you won't have to keep cutting a scrap one.

Recipe:
Stamps: Going Places by My Favorite Things
Cardstock: card base is Sahara Sand - SU, mellow moss - SU, Shimmery White - SU, DP is Basicgey
Ink: Pallet black, Tim Holz distress ink in Walnut
Accessories: Martha Stewart scallop punch, ribbon, corner rounder punch - SU, prisma flowers, jeweled brad, charm from Walmart, prisma pencil crayons, baby oil

When Life Stinks...you can count on me

I think this is my favorite image from the set. I had a really problem with making this card work. I am still not 100% sure about it, but wanted to share. The card bas is 4 1/4 square. I took my basic grey ink pad and rubbed the DP on it to brink more of the grey in and make the paper not as bright.

Recipe:
Stamps: Cute Critters by Clear Dollar Stamps
CardStock: Shimmery white, shimmery black, DP by SEI, Basic Grey - SU, the teal color is also from the SEI DP pack
Ink: Pallet Ink in Black
Accessories: Cuttlebug, nestibilities, Primsacolor pencils and Baby oil, prismacolor marker in 10% grey, ticket corner punch, old olive ribbon - SU, hodgepodge metal tag - SU, small oval punch - SU.

You Quack me up!!!

I wanted to do this one in soft colors because I colored the image in strong colors, I figured if I went strong with the rest of the card it would have been too much. I really like how this one turned out. Again this card base is 4 1/4 square. On the card base, I toke my nesties and run it through my cuttlebug to get the card base embossed. It is a nice way to add a layer to a card without using paper.

Recipe:
Stamps: Cute Critters by Clear Dollar stamps
Cardstock: Barely Banana - SU, Soft Sky DP, pretty in Pink - SU, shimmery white
Ink: pallent ink in black, soft sky - SU
Accessories: cuttlebug, nestibilities, ribbon, prismacolor pencils, prismacolor marker in 10% grey, baby oil.
