Clean and Simple Birthday Card

I made this card awhile ago.  I have been very bad at keeping up with the cards that I am making and posting them.  I have been a bad blogger.   I got this simple and clean layout idea from SplitcoastStampers.  This is the Blog Link For Karie Klund.  This is a very easy card to mass produce for cards sets.  I love this layout.
I also made the same card with Pretty in Pink and chocolate Chip

Stamps: Inkadinkado Birthday Fun, PTI for the sentiment
Card Stock: Shimmery White, Baja Blue, and Chocolate Chip all SU
Ink : Chocolate Chip & Baja Blue ink - SU
Accessories: 1 1/4 circle, 1 3/8 circle punch, Mat Stack and paper

So these are the Frames that I made for my self.   I have not made any for my self before.  My hubby hung them for me this weekend.  They are hanging on the wall that is a joining my eating bar and kitchen.  I think they turned out pretty good.  I love these colors.

I used Urban Oasis which is my favorite DP pack from the Spring Summer 2009 Catty and Summer Love Rub Ons for the occasions mini catty.

I painted the frames White and then mod podged the paper.

Birthday Present From KIM

So how cute is this.   My birthday was in April, I know it has taken me awhile to post, but I wanted to share.

I would guess that she made this with her Cricut using the Tags, bags and More card.

It is super cute.   And I got 3 beautiful hand blown beads for my Pandora bracelet.  I think one of her friends makes them.

Kim, Thank you and I love them.

Cricut Acetate mini gift bag

I was surfing the blogs one day and I came across a blog (sorry I can't seem to remember who's Blog) and I didn't realize or even think about putting acetate in my Cricut.   I don't have a deep cutting blade, YET.  (ps Mom, I found one on E-bay for $25 ca with shipping!!! Half price here in Canada)

Anyway, I did give it a try with my regular blade (yup I am impatient) let me just say DON'T.  It kinda worked, but the next time I went to cut with that regular blade, it was done.  It wouldn't cut through regular card stock.

Recipe :
  • Cricut and Tags bags Boxes and More Cartridge
  • double sided tape (I am using scor-pal tape, I love it.  You don't need to cut it, it just tears with you fingers),
  • Cut little strips of DP and then run it through my crimper
  • Crochet Flower made by me for sale on my Blog
  • Designer Brads Filigree - SU

Going Nuts For CDS

So this is my 3rd and final entry.  The picture didn't turn out that great!!  I can't wait till I get the little photo tent that I bought off of e-bay.  Hopefully it will help me out in get cleaner crisper pictures.  If you follow my blog you will know that I like the balloons for birthday cards!!! They are so much fun.

I got the idea in my head to hang/dangle something from balloons, and I haven't used the Just Nutty set from CDS yet.  Why not hang the peanuts from the balloons??  Well I made the card and this is how it turned out.   I attached fishing line to the balloons and then the peanuts to the line.

Recipe:
Stamps: Just Nutty, and another stamp of the month set, both from CDS
card stock: Basic grey, Soft Sky - SU, Neenah Solar white
Ink: Versafine
Accessories: cuttlebug, nesties, scallop punch, prisma pencil crayons, blending stumps, baby oil, prismacolor marker in 10& grey, punch out of paper with a scallop edge to make the clouds, fishing line

True Friend tin

So I made this for the Design team call over at CDS as well.  It is really funny, I made this last night at about 10 o'clock.  I get the monthly e-mail letter from Splitcoaststampers and on the bottom of the news letter is a older list of projects/tutorials.  And there is the pop-can idea.  I just laughed at myself.  I have saved these cans a couple of years ago, I have made projects off and on with them.

What I was trying to do with this was make it look like a wharf leg with the rope around it.  The Design call is for adding something that dangles to your card or project.  Will I took some wire and bent them to look like fishing hooks, stamped the shells, watercolored them and hung them from the hooks from the rim of the tin.  Are you wondering if that is a real sand dollar.  Yes it is, I found this on a beach either on Cape Breton Island in the Maritimes or in Mexico a couple of years ago.

Recipe:
Stamps: Shore Treasures - CDS
Cardstock: Kraft - SU
Ink: Versafine
Accessories:  stampin up wire from many years ago, brown twine, scallop and oval punch and one real sand dollar
