Thrifty Saturdays...

I am having so much fun finding little treasures.

This is my greatest find to date. $332 in Stampin' Up product for only $32!! I was so excited. As I already have most of this, I bought it for my Mom.

I like the color of the Ball mason glass. $3 and $1 for the insulator that looks "nothing" like a part of the male anatomy. Hehehe

I am really not to sure about this. I don't love it. Anyone interested?? The Pyrex is marked made in england

Now this one I do love. It is on the kitchen table $2

Another blue fridgie and a mini casserole each were $2.

And this last one is a cake pan, must find another one so I have a set of 2. You always need 2 cake pans

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks finds. Joyce....if you are reading this. I have a blue fridgie for you. The one that I put the cookies in :-)

Enjoy

Treasure hunting...thrifty finds

Well I can not seem to help my self now. Those who know me knows that waking up early is not my idea of FUN. But when it means going to a garage sale that states they have Pyrex that's another story. Here are my finds from the week end

$5 gravy boat. I believe this pattern is old town blue

I almost die when I saw this one. $5 with out the lid

We found these at VV. I was not going to get it but we found 2 the 404, 403. They had lots of marks on them but after a little tlc they are very nice. This pattern is Shenadoah

I never had the intention of buying the pots but Kyle thought they would look cool on display.

I have been wanting to chip & dip set from Pyrex, but for $2 in the mean time we found this one in the original box.

I loved the color of these insulators. $5 for both.

I am not sure it this is true milk glass or not. I don't really know much about milk glass but I really liked it and for $3 at the salvation army I decided to take it home.

We saw this popcorn maker a couple of weeks about at the sally ann and left it there. Well we went back and it was still there. Kyle loves popcorn and I think we are now up to 6 different poppers

Here is the after math of all the washing

I hope you enjoy

New love for everything vintage PYREX

In the last few weekends Kyle and I have been out hitting up the odd garage sales. We have always liked going to garage sales and now I have an even better reason to go. Pyrex. One of the blogs that I follow. Willow & paisley is a garage saler as well and she was finding these great pieces for one of her friends that collects pyrex. After reading a number of willows posts and doing some research of my own, I may have found something I will collect. Here is some of the pieces I have found.

This is the smallest of the 3 mixing bowl set. Paid $10 for all 3 at an estate sale in edgemont

So we walk in the garage and the guy having the sale asks me if I was looking for anything particular. Why yes I am. Vintage Pyrex. He yells in to the house to his wife and all you can hear is the wife opening and closing doors in the kitchen. Out she comes with the first 3 mixing bowls. They are not my favorite color but are in great condition. The husband then says. Oh that's Pyrex. I think there is another one somewhere. In the house he goes and brings out the casserole dish. I then paid another $10. All 4 pieces matching $20. My first vintage Pyrex purchase priceless. Lol

Ps. There is more to come

Giraffe baby shower

I totally cased this card. I was attending my Husband's cousin's baby shower and she has her nursery in a safari theme. I saw this card on-line and had to make it. I took my about an hour to make it as I didn't have some the same punches but I think it turned out really good.

Jolene loved the card and stated that she was going to frame it and put it up in the baby's room!!! How cool it that.

Here is the link to the website where I found the card.
