Homemade Doggie Treat!!!!

I made homemade doggie treat for my 2 Chihuahua's Rio and Mya. I have shared them with Tya and Ty (my mom's Yorkies) and Stewart (my neighbour's dog). I was telling the girls at work that I made these and they wanted the recipe.

So I figured instead of just giving them the recipe I would do something a little more special for them. So dug out my circut and made the popcorn boxes, stamped them with My best friend stamp set from Hanna Stamps and filled them with the cookies, then put them in a bag.

I punched a couple of hole in the recipe card with my crop-a-dile and ran a piece of ribbon through and tied it to the bag. Voila... a nice little gift. This really took no time. super easy. I do have a template for those that don't have a circut. Just leave a comment with your e-mail address and I will send it to you.

Recipe
Stamps: My Best Friend by Hanna Stamps, Yappy Days - SU
Cardstock: Mellow Moss - SU
Ink: Always Artichoke - SU
Accessories: Cricut and Tags bags and more cartridge, cello bag

Pond Life....enjoying the moment

While I was still had all the left overs out from my Father's day Card I figured I could do another card. I wanted an everyday occasion card. I really like this lay out. It will work with so many different themes. First I stamped the turtle on my shimmery white and then again on scrap piece of paper. I them took the scrap piece of paper and placed it over my "good" image and then stamped the grass and cat tails so they look like they are in the background. This technique is call masking. I don't normally use it very often, but you can get a great effect from it.

Recipe:
Stamps: Pond life - Papertrey Ink
Cardstock: Old Olive - SU, Bronze, Gold, Shimmery White - SU, Upper piece of DP is from Basicgrey (there is a zigzag pattern on it, bottom DP is from Martha Stewart (the leaves as gold).
Ink: Mellow Moss - SU, Always Articoke - SU, Chocolate Chip - SU, Creamy Caramel - SU
Accessories: Cuttlebug, nestibilities, brads

Wedding Invitations update

I have had many of you ask "What font did I use on this Wedding Invitation"?
It was a combination of 2 font types. The first letter of the Bride and Grooms Name, Map and RSVP is called Bickham Script Fancy 2. The rest of the invitations is Palatino Linotype. I took my a while to find the font.
If you would like me to send you the font file, Please leave me a comment and I will get that out to you as soon as I can.

SC174 Making a TALL Card.......and Tall it is

This card was very hard to photograph....it is way to tall for the set up that I have to take photos in my craft room...... should have gone to the window sill. I had a hard time with this one. I know I wanted to use the Designer Paper by Kaisercraft that I had picked up with Chocolate Chip - SU and Pretty in Pink - SU cause they complemented each other very well. I don't think the execution of the card ended up being that great. Oh well I am sure we all have cards that are not up to our own expectations.

Recipe
Stamps: Simple Said - SU
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip - SU, Pretty in Pink - SU, shimmery white - SU, Designer Paper by Kaisercraft
Ink: Black Stazon
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon - SU, Ribbon hole punch from Making Memories, cuttlebug, nestibilities, Ribbon slide with pearls, watercolor pen and Pretty in pink re-inker

Gift Card Holder

I love this Cupcake set that I have from Heroarts. We are very lucking here in Calgary, we have this little "gourmet" bakery that makes the BEST cupcakes in the world. They are to die for!!! Anytime we go to Kensington, we stop for cupcakes, which isn't very often cause they are so "BAD" for you.

We made a gift card holder in card class and I had to make one with the cupcake stamp set that I have. This is what I came up with. I wanted fun colors because I am planning on using this for my twin cousins birthdays, so I made 2 exactly the same.
Recipe:
Stamps: Cupcakes by Heroarts
Cardstock: Certainly Celery - SU, Shimmery white - SU, Designer Paper Cupcake by Basicgrey, the teal color is from a designer pack of paper by SEI (I used scraps that I had)
Ink: Stazon in Black
Accessories: Sheer ribbon, cuttlebug, nestibilities, dazzling diamonds - SU, glue pen, prismacolor pencil crayons and baby oil

Weekend Sketch Challenge #49 by Beate

Here is my first Papertrey Ink card. I have been resisting buying stamps from them for about a year now. Darn you Joyce and Char. I saw this set they released for Fathers Day and I really have not seen anything this nice for Fathers Day anywhere else. I wish they would do something just as nice for Mothers Day. Thier sentiments are to die for. I put the one that says "a true father carries Pictures where his MONEY used to be" in the inside. Too true. HeHe.

When I did the eyelets you could see through the holes and see the different DP through them, so I took a small piece of the Bronze and put it on the back of the eyelets to cover up the DP.

Recipe:
Stamps: Father Knows Best - Papertrey Ink
Cardstock: Mellow Moss - SU, Bronze, Gold, Shimmery White - SU, Upper piece of DP is from Basicgrey (there is a zigzag pattern on it, bottom DP is from Martha Stewart (the leaves as gold).
Ink: Mellow Moss - SU, Old Olive - SU, Chocolate Chip - SU, Creamy Caramel - SU
Accessories: Cuttlebug, nestibilities, large eyelets

Little Update

Well, I have nothing new to share with you today. I spent the extra long weekend, not crafting, I feel like I have lost my creative mojo this week. I feel guilty for not posting.

Monday was a holiday for us in Canada, I also took Friday and today off. YIPPY....well deserved I must say. But I thought I would show you the flowers that I have blooming on the Hoya plant in my Craft room. They are soo pretty, but they stink. Now if only I could get my orchid to bloom again.....darn Cat!!!

Right now I am working on another set of Wedding Invitations for a lady at work, (first paid job!!!!) the paper was just delivered today, and I am cutting 100's of sheets of paper. They are going to be a shimmery Brown (just beautiful), Mellow Moss and a shimmery opal (cream). I can't wait to share them with you!!!

My Mom's Mother's Day Card

This is the card that I made for my Mommy. She LOVED it. She has a Yorkie, I know the puppy on the card isn't a Yorkie, but that is the closest stamp that I had. I cut the puppy out and used dimensional to POP her up. I stamped Hanna on Shimmery White and then colored with Prismacolor Pencil crayon and Baby oil. The outlined her with my 10% grey prismacolor marker, and her skin is light peach from Prisma markers as well.

Yup, I got NESTIBILITIES. Thanks to Shelia at SCRAPPIN' GREAT DEALS. She has the best prices for when you get the whole set, plus free shipping. It works out to a great price. She is located in Ontario, so shipping isn't that expensive for us in Canada. I price compared with a local scrapbooking place here in Calgary, and she was about $200 cheaper for all the shapes.!!!!! I am so happy I took the plunge.

I kinda laughed at myself, I almost forgot to take pictures of the cards. I was setting up the kitchen table getting ready for Mother's day brunch, (before the mom's came to the house). I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off, try to find the camera, cause I had every intention on taking some pictures of the Mom's at their Sunday Brunch. So I quickly set the cards up in the window sill, put the camera down and then didn't take any more pictures for the day. There goes the "planning" out the door. I guess we were all having a good time and forgot about "capturing the moment".

RECIPE:
Stamps: My Best Friend by Hanna Stamps
CardStock: Shimmery blue and shimmery black from
http://www.cutcardstock.com/, the DP is from SEI, I just picked it up at Micheal's
INK: Pallette
Accessories: Nestibilites, Cuttlebug, prismacolor markers, and pencil crayons, baby oil.

Wedding Invitations!!!!

No, these are not for me. I very close family friend (my brother's best friend) is getting married this summer. My present to them was making their invitations for them. (hands in the air) I AM DONE!!!! 60 done, zero to do, (hand whipping the brow). Actually, I really enjoyed doing them. She had a sample that she love and I recreated it. (I would give credit where it is do, if I knew the persons name that did the original) 5 card stock sample orders later, we found the right shimmery black. I love the stuff. I did all the documents on the inside as well. I scanned a piece of scrapbook paper that I found and imported it in to the Word document. I love the final looks of them. They are extremely happy with them....they are going to the happy Bride and Groom this week.

Having a RRRuff Day?

I made this with my new Inkadinkado stamp set. Forgive me I tossed the packaging and don't know the name of the set. This was very simple card, one layer. I ran the card base through my cuttlebug with my NESTIBILITIES!!!! (yup I got them). It is all in how you sandwich them in the cuttlebug, you can either cut the shape of dry embossing them. SUPER COOL.

Recipe:
Stamps: Inkadinkado
Cardstock: Shimmery White - SU
Ink: Tim Holz Distress ink in Walnut Stain
Accessories: Ribbon, Sakura Gelly Roll shimmery pen, Marvy Twinklette pigmented glitter marker for his nose, nestabilities, cuttlebug

Gate Fold Card...Just another day in the jungle

This is another card I did using Beate's tutorial. She is my favorite blogger!!! Her creations are always stunning! This stamp set is from Clear Dollar Stamps. For the trunk of the palm tree, I drew it free hand. Once I finished stamping the background I ran the stamp pad on the edge of the cardstock for a little more depth.

I also put a layer on the inside of the card where you would write your sentiment and also rubbed the stamp pad on that, to carry the theme of the card to the inside. The leave of the palm tree are all cut out and layered, I used dimensionals on the very top one.

Recipe:
Stamps: Monkey Madness - Clear Dollar Stamps
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip - SU, Wild Wasabi - SU, Shimmery White and Black
Ink: Tim Holz Distressed Ink - Walnut Stain, Stazon Jet Black
Accessories: Nestibilites, tag punch - SU, Scorpal, prisma pencil crayons & baby oil

Thank you!!!!!

I sent this out to my friend Kim. Just a little thank you and a random act of kindness (RAK) for my B-day present...and for being a great friend. As you can see, I changed it just a little bit from the picture on the right to the one on the left. I was going to just send it out with the ribbon around the stamps. I had made the box using Beate's tutorial for a take out box. So I decided to stuff the stamps in a cello bag with some "Malibu Chocolates" and the stamps. Kim's favorite drink is Malibu rum and diet pepsi!!! Try it some time, it is quite tasty!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Sweet Shapes - SU
Cardstock: Mellow Moss - SU, Pretty in Pink - SU
Ink: Mellow Moss - SU, Pretty in Pink - SU, Stazon
Accessories: Ribbon - SU and Michaels, Hodgepodge hardware, brads and other items mentioned in Beate's Tutorial

WT163 Snip, Snip & SC173

I have been admiring with set for awhile now. It is too cool. This was a very simple card. As you can see, on the pretty in pink I just did a little border on my scor-pal. I really add's to any card. Then I didn't leave enough room to be able to stamp the candles right on the cupcake, so I cut them out. For those how know me well, they know I hate to cut...... I really enjoy for end result. This card made me smile.

Recipe:
Stamps: Cupcakes - Hero Arts
Cardstock: the base is soft sky - SU, pretty in pink - SU, Wild Wasabi - SU, DP is from basic grey - cupcake.
Ink: pallete black
Accessories: pencil crayons with baby oil for all the coloring, the sparkles are from doodlebug.
