Baby Oil VS. OMS (Odorless Mineral Spirits)

I did another Test. I compared Baby Oil and OMS with 4 different kinds of Pencil crayons. Water Color Pencil Crayons, Sargent brand Pencil crayons, Prisma Color pencil crayons - scholar grade, and a set that I got years ago from my Grandmother on one of her trips to Germany, Eberhard Faber pencil crayons.

Please note that I used shimmery white from SU for the paper. I use this paper the most!!!

The water color: I found that they didn't work very good with either, but better with the baby oil.

The Sargent brand (I got them at Wal-mart - cheap) These turned out the same for both the Baby oil and OMS. These are $3.99 for 24 crayons.

Prisma Color - Scholar grade: I like these the same as the Sargent. The only plus was they are a softer crayon and blend a little bit faster, but if you are crafting on a budget they are about $30 for 60 colors.

Eberhard Faber Crayons (from Germany):
I didn't really like the end result of these ones with either the Baby oil or OMS. Plus I am not sure if one could even get these anymore. I received them 10 or more years ago.
The end result is Baby Oil and OMS works the SAME. Bonus is Baby oil is available anywhere, you most likely have it in your house already. As for the result of the different kinds of pencil crayons graded out of 10
1. Prisma Color Pencil crayons - Scholar Grade = 10
2. Sargent Pencil crayons = 9.5
3. Eberhard Faber = 5
4. Water color = 0 (I guess they are really best for water coloring) :-)
If anyone is interested in another kind of paper, just let me know and I can do another test. Or anyother products (as long as I have them) I love doing things like this.
I hope you find this helpful.
Enjoy & TFL
