Celebrate and Sympathy bird

 
 This were a couple of cards that needed to make.  The first one was for my Aunty Joni congradulations card in January.  She got Married.  And the Second I made for Kyle's sister whom needed a sympathy card.

As I was making these, I thought it was odd that the same card could represent 2 totally different occasions.

Birthday Wishes w/Crocheted Flowers

 Here is 2 more cards, one that I left as is, and the other one that I added one of my crochet flowers on to.  I like them both equally!!!

I was looking at the "mix it up with color" chart from Stampin-Up and choose one of their color combos.  Tangerine Tango, regal rose, so saffron, and Kiwi Kiss.   When I put the 4 full sheets of colors together, I thought to myself....this is going to make an ugly card!!!  Well I think I pulled it off pretty good.

Engagement Card

Kyle's sister got engaged in July and this is the card that I made for the Happy couple to congratulate them. I had allot of fun making this one. She loved the card so much. Stacie and Alex have also asked both Kyle and I to be apart of the Wedding party.

Momma-in-Laws Mother's Day Card

I totally copied Beate's Card layout, I just changed the color. Thanks Beate's for a great card. This one was for my mother in law. I think she liked it, she didn't really comment to much on it. oh well....

Cardstock: basic grey, old olive, soft sky DP, purely pomegranate, all from SU, I can't remember what the other DP is.
INK: Purely pomegranate - SU, Chocolate Chip - SU, Basic Black - SU
Accessories: Old Olive ribbon, Nestibilities, Cuttlebug, mat pack - SU, ticket corner punch.

WSC #45 & WT163 Snip Snip & CC163 Certainly Pretty Chocolate

I actually got a challenge done before the deadline....YIPPY. And 3 in one to boot.... The first was for Beate's weekend sketch challenge, then WT163 was to use scissors other then just using it to cut your ribbon and the 3 was the color challenge of Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip.

I embossed the certainly celery with my cuttlebug. Then embossed the hearts with a copper embossing powder then cut them out. I "popped" the lower heart.

CC155 Black Rock Elegance

First off, I am not sure what is going on. My last set of pictures didn't turn out that great, hum!!! Must look it to that. Anyway.

I know this challenge is a couple of weeks old, but none the less a beautiful color challenge. I must admit, I am not a huge fan of River rock, but I thought I would give it a try. You can't tell by the picture, but the Brads have a white sparkle on them and I also paper pierced the 2 corners on the black. For the sentiment I stamped "everything" first and tried to center it as best as I could and the used a black marker from the other stamp for the "you mean" and "to me". I wanted Everything to really stand out. For the bird, I stamped with Craft white and the embossed with white embossing powder. Very Simple but stunning.

Cardstock: River rock - SU, Basic Black - SU, glossy white

Ink: Stazon, Craft White - SU

Accessories: corner rounder, mat pack from SU, embossing powder, making memories - brads.

CC157 Basic Pomegranate & TLC 161 Flap Fold Cards

Don't you just love this color combo. It is stunning!!! And this little Flap fold card is wonderful. You could even make this into a gift card holder as well. Yup, I used my new Always - SU set again, I like it just as much as Garden Whimsy. In the instructions from Scor-pal it said to use Basicgrey Magnetic snap closures, I didn't have any of those but I did have these little Velcro's. And they worked great!!! I stamped the bird with versa mark and then embossed it with black powder. I think it turned out amazing. The image just pops off the paper.

CC159 Whisper Soft Grey & TLC160 The Negative Effect

I combined both of these challenges together. I got my order from Stampin-up and had to play with the Hodgepodge Hardware and of course Always stamp set. I love how this card turned out. The negative effect with your cuttlebug is so cool. I always show my creations to my other half to see what his opinion is. He comment was "Wow, that is cool paper, where did you get that". Well honey, I made it!!!! I have actually tried this before, but I found that I couldn't get very good coverage on the folder, use your brayer!!! Perfect!! It works great, go figure.
